Category talk:Software

Format of software pages

Each page should have at least the following components:

• The line {{software}} at the top to generate the header.
• Lead briefly stating the purpose and history of the software
• Distribution section, with the download info or contact point
• File format section, important for connecting to other software
• Documentation section with links if available
• Support section if available
• Publications section with download links to fulltext whenever possible
• Contributors section if they are not listed in the lead
• The line [[Category:Software]] at the bottom to include the page automatically in the List of software.
