1a. make it run as downloaded (Jon, it's C++...), understand data format and inteface (a week or two) 1b. clean up the interface to the spread calculation in wrf-fire & write a standalone driver (me) (a week or two) 2. swap the spread calculation (serial case only) for farsite spread somehow (a week or so) 3a. send it all working the the vistrails people for a workflow & components etc. 3b. the bulk of the real work: data consistency, ideal data, real case, interpretation of results, make it actually useful and working, run some actual computations, write the paper (=the coin of the realm) 3c. Parallelism, integration into WRF, etc.
